Reflecting on the 2010's

With the close of another year, and another decade, we thought it seemed fitting to reflect on how far we have come over the past 10 years through a little timeline.
What started out in 2006 with our much loved Secret Harbour local Wild Posy Flowers and Gifts has grown over the past decade to what is now a well known Western Australian small business, not only serving customers locally, but also nationally through our online store.

In 2013, Joanne, owner of Wild Posy and The Cumquat Tree, was ready for a new challenge, and decided it was time for Wild Posy to have a sister store. She purchased The Cumquat Tree, then only one brick and mortar store located on Canning Highway in Bicton, and the next chapter of the business began.

Bicton customers welcomed us with open arms, and we are ever so grateful for the continual support that they have provided us over the years.

After a few years, with the expansion of the Baldivis shopping centre, the decision was made to open The Cumquat Tree in Baldivis in April of 2015. This store has led us to form many friendships with new customers and build a little local community, with some of our regulars popping in weekly to have a chat, try on clothes, and even share recipes and tips.

In 2016 we increased our online presence, especially on Instagram. Through our social media, we have been able to reach and engage with new customers and discover new local artists and brands to stock in stores.

2017 was a very busy year for us. In May, Wild Posy moved into a bigger and brighter space in Secret Harbour Square.

In September, we opened our biggest store in the laid back coastal South West town of Mandurah, in the newly expanded Mandurah Forum. Soon after, we launched our online store, which has allowed us to reach new customers Australia-wide.

We also began a local artists program in store to provide a platform for Western Australian artists to showcase and sell their work in store. So far, we have showcased the work of talented artists including Carol NicolsonCindy Wright, and Sharee English.

2018 saw the opening of our newest store in Westfield Carousel, reaching a new community of customers in Perth's eastern suburbs. Our Carousel store has proven to be a hit amongst our new customers, and we love having the opportunity to provide unique, locally-made products in such a busy shopping precinct!

This past year has absolutely flown by. Visiting a number of trade fairs on the east coast, growing our social media pages, discovering a number of new local brands, launching seasonal campaigns and starting our monthly email updates, we haven't had many quiet moments!

We are so grateful always to our team of wonderful staff, our suppliers, and of course, our beautiful customers. Without your support, we couldn't have achieved all of the milestones that the past decade has brought us.

Thank you, to all of you, may you all have a safe and happy new years, and cheers to the start of a new decade, we have many exciting things on the horizon.

Much love always,

The Cumquat Tree Team xx
